Privacy Notice
This notice is provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) to anyone visiting the website alicart1982.com (the “Site”) or using the contact form available on the Site.
Data Controller
Alicart 1982 S.r.l. Via dell’Industria, 33 – 73056 Taurisano (LE), Italy VAT no. 05116950758 Phone: 0833 623809
For requests relating to the processing of personal data, please use the contact form selecting “Other” as the enquiry type, or contact us by phone.
Data processed
The Site collects personal data only when a user voluntarily fills in the contact form on the Contact page. The data requested is: full name, company (optional), email, phone (optional), type of enquiry, message, preferred contact method (optional), and consent to this notice.
The Site does not use analytics, profiling or marketing cookies. The only other processing that may take place through the Site concerns the Google Maps map embedded in the Contact section, and only if the user voluntarily chooses to load it (see Cookie Policy below).
Purpose and legal basis
Data submitted through the contact form is processed in order to respond to the user’s enquiry (product information, quotation request or other), on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract) or, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in responding to a direct enquiry).
Note: this legal qualification is a proposal and must be confirmed by the company’s legal/privacy advisor before final publication.
Loading the Google Maps map is based on the user’s explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by clicking the “Load the map” button or “Accept” in the cookie banner.
Data recipients
Data submitted through the contact form is shared with the following service providers, acting as data processors:
- Resend — email delivery service, used to deliver the enquiry to the company mailbox.
- Upstash — infrastructure service used to limit the number of form submissions (abuse protection), where active.
Data retention
Proposed retention period: 12 months from the last contact, unless a different legal obligation applies. This period must be confirmed by the company before final publication.
The consent/rejection choice relating to the Google Maps map is stored only locally in the user’s browser (via localStorage), is not transmitted to the Controller, and can be deleted at any time from the browser’s settings.
Data subject rights
Under Articles 15-22 GDPR, users have the right to access, rectify, erase their data, restrict processing, object to processing and request data portability, by using the contact form or contacting us by phone. Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Automated decision-making
The Site does not carry out any form of profiling or automated decision-making.
Cookie Policy
The Site does not install its own (first-party) cookies. Submitting the contact form does not set any cookie: the data is sent directly to the server in a single request at submission time. The only third-party service potentially able to set cookies is Google Maps, used to display the map of our premises in the Contact section.
How it works
The map is not loaded automatically. A static box with a “Load the map” button is shown instead: only by clicking it (or accepting the cookie banner shown on first visit) is the Google Maps iframe inserted into the page, and only then can Google set its own cookies.
Third-party services used
| Service | Purpose | Type | Notice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Maps | Displaying the map of our premises | Third party, loaded only on user action/consent | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Resend | Sending emails generated by the contact form | Data processor, activated only on form submission | resend.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Upstash | Limiting the number of contact form submissions (abuse protection) | Data processor, activated only on form submission | upstash.com/trust/privacy.pdf |
The typefaces (Barlow Condensed, Inter) used on the Site are hosted directly on our own servers and do not involve any request to third-party servers.
Managing consent
You can change your choice regarding the map at any time by clearing the Site’s browsing data (localStorage) from your browser settings: the cookie banner will be shown again the next time the page loads.
